Itinerary -
DAY 1: Dehradun – Sankri (Drive / 5 - 6 hrs)
Assemble at Dehradun, the ever bustling hub of activity. Hop in for a fun filled drive to Sankri via Mussoorie. Are you a crazy shutterbug? If yes, keep your camera handy as this short drive will offer you with amazing views. Peep out of the window and enjoy the drive along the Yamuna and towards the latter part along the beautiful Tons River. Capture the beauty of the beautiful pine forest sections along the drive today. On reaching Sankri, we will set up a camp in a beautiful apple orchard with great views all around. This charming spot is a whimsical one. Take an evening stroll in this beautiful hamlet and get your muscles charged for the next day trek. Overnight stay in Tents.
DAY 2: Sankri –Taluka – Osla (Trek / 5 - 6 hrs)
Wake up to an adventure filled day. Today in the morning we will drive till Taluka which is a small hamlet from where you will hike till Osla. Be ready to explore the trail and discover rare flora & fauna. A treat for avid photographers and lovers of nature, this trail will open up to the natural wonders. Trek past amazing views of mixed forests & sprawling wild orchids. During this trial, you might just get lucky in spotting out the Himalayan wilderness like Barking Deer, Bores and other rare species you haven’t seen before. This lush green trail to Osla will keep you thrilled. After trekking amidst natural beauty for 6-7 hours, we will reach the village of Osla. You can wander around this spot to explore its culture and can also mingle with its locals. Overnight in tents.
Day 3: Osla - Har Ki Dun (Trek / 5 - 6 hrs)
Today embark on a trek to Har ki dun. Warm up for the day, hike the gradual terrain and witness the engaging views of the towering mountains & pleasing valleys. As you hike further, you get to catch glimpses of the magnificent peaks of Swargarohini, Bandar Poonch, Kala Nag or Black peak. Click pictures or just watch the majestic mountains standing tall with the clear blue skies in the background. Soak in the beauty of wildflowers, inviting rivulets and gurgling streams that come in your way. Trekking to Har ki dun will be no less than discovering a paradise. Overnight in the tents.
DAY 4: Har Ki Dun – Osla (Trek / 3 - 4 hrs)
Hold your breath, as today is the day of exploration. Eager explorers can wander around this place blessed with nature’s delight. Nestled in the dense alpine forests, Har ki dun will be no less than a window to the panoramic views of the surrounding mountain peaks. Crazy shutterbugs can go on a clicking spree. Mountain lovers can sit still to watch the unwavering beauty of the mountains. If you are fond of poetry, this place will offer you with all the inspiration you need. Be an explorer, a photographer, a poet, Har ki dun will surely bring out the artist in you. Carrying with you unforgettable experiences, hike back to Osla in the afternoon. Overnight in tents.
DAY 5: Osla – Sankri - Dehradun (Trek / 5 - 6 hrs) (Drive / 6 - 7 hrs)
Be ready to trek down the entire leg. Today we will hike back to Sankri, the trail head. Follow the steeper terrains and capture the stunning environs in your camera. With sights of migratory birds disappearing behind the snow-peaked mountains, the Har ki dun trek will lend you with an experience of a lifetime. After trekking for 6-7 hours reach Sankri. Board a vehicle from here and drive back to Dehradun.

Transport Options (Delhi – Dehradun – Delhi)
For travel to Dehradun and back one can choose between air, rail & road. For air travel, the closest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport (at Dehradun) and is well connected to Delhi and other parts of the country by Air India, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines & Spice Jet. Train travel is highly recommended with enough options being there. For train details, you could log on to www.indianrail.gov.in and for online railway ticket bookings you could log on to www.irctc.co.in
There are frequent Public Transport buses including Volvos available from Delhi to Dehradun that cost about Rs. 200-500 per person. These buses depart from Delhi ISBT every 30 mins. or so and take about 7 hrs to cover the distance. The same is also applicable on the return journey. A private vehicle could also be arranged for if you require the same.
Weather Details
In the initial days of the pre monsoon season (Apr-Jun) there will be snow along the trail which generally melts by end April. Days are going to be sunny and warm (14-22 °C) while the night temperature at the highest campsite would be in the range of 0-8 °C. In the post monsoon season (Sep-Nov) there is possibility of snow towards the end of the season, which also melts very fast. The days are sunny with temperatures hovering around (12-20 °C) and the evenings start getting cold with the onset of October and nights are comparatively colder (-2 to 8 °C).
Please keep in mind that the above information is not exact and does not account for sudden changes. Whatever the temperatures and conditions rest assured we will be prepared to handle it with ease as we use equipment of very high specifications
List of Essentials
It is very important for this adventure trip that you need to be equipped properly and with a bit of back up. Mountain/adventure travel requires one to be adequately equipped with the right kind of personal gear. Since one is travelling in the wilderness there will be hardly any opportunity to buy anything once you hit the trail so we urge you to carefully pack everything into your bags.
